Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, The potential democratic presidential candidate in 2028, on the Internet, seemingly hiding his face during a meeting with President Donald Trump in the oval office.
Whitmer was seen temporarily protecting her face from cameras in an oval office holding a folder, the photo states New York Times.
She later dropped the folder, while the president spoke with reporters and encouraged Whitmer to comment. Democratic governor, who clashed with Trump during his first term in connection with her Coid-19 locking rules, met with the president to talk about the recovery from the Ice Storm, which affected the thousands of Michigans, funding the National Selfridge Air National Guard Base near Detroit, protection for the Great Lakes and the automotive industry.

Whitmer, joined by State President Michigan State House Matt Hall and several cabinet secretaries, stood from a decisive table, while Trump signed executive commands on Wednesday.

We have to do more things in America,” Whitmer said before adding, “I’m not against the tariff directly, but it’s a blunt tool. You can’t simply get a hammer with tariffs to swing without a clear final end.

Whitmer’s approach is in a distinct opposite with other high democratic governors, many of whom are considered to be potential candidates for the 2028 party presidential nomination. But Whitmer faces more challenging political landscape than leaders like Illinois Government JB Pritzker or California government Gavin News As it represents a state with a divided state legislature and Trump has taken two of the last three elections.
