West Bank celebrations as freed Palestinian prisoner return

The BBC’s Jon Donnison watched in Ramallah as Palestinian prisoners released by Israel were welcomed by the West Bank.

Israel is expected to release 200 Palestinian prisoners on Saturday, but about 70 are expected to be deported.

Earlier four Israelis returned to Israel after being handed over to the Red Cross by Hamas in Gaza City.

It is the second round of Israeli prisoner releases and Palestinian prisoner exchanges since a ceasefire agreement was reached earlier this month.
