The infamous former New York Congressman Anthony Weiner claimed in a new profile about his last political effort to return that there is a “interruption of a relationship” between the New York Democrat brand and what the voters actually want.
Weiner started a a Campaign for the New York City Council, The position he held from 1992 to 1998, in December. Weiner was elected to present the 9th New York Congress County in 1998, resigning in 2011 after posting a photo of himself on social networks in his underwear and lying about it in the beginning. The incident followed years of sex scandals, including one who seized his offer from New York from New York from New York, and Weiner was charged with switching a supply material into a minor in May 2017. After having a 15-year-old girl, which led to prison.
Atlantic Josh Tyrangiel, who lives in Manhattan County, Weiner hopes to represent, interviewed A shameful politician for his return to the campaign.
“Weird, the biggest obstacle to Weiner’s return may not be his past, but his politics,” said the Atlantic writer. “He has lived in Okrug 2 since 2011, but is far from mostly white mid-class Queens parts and Brooklyn, which he represented as a congressman. Each member of the County Council 2 since the early 1990s was Latin American. Only 8 percent 175,000 inhabitants are registered Republicans.

Weiner, described by Tyrangiel as a centrist that “considers the neighborhood to need more police officers and fewer pot stores,” claimed that the local democrats were wrong.
“If these elections relate to the highest anti-trumps, crazy people on the left, you will not choose a [Andrew] Cuomo or Weiner, “Weiner said.” Now I could be completely wrong, but there seems to be a non -discomfort with a brand that New York Democrats sell and what people want to buy right now. “
When asked what evidence he had to believe in, Weiner replied: “In New York, I was with my head on my shoulders, seeing what was happening in the 14th street.”
Tyrangiel summed up that Weiner’s campaign focused on two fundamental assumptions, the first importance of the quality of life, such as solving underground railways, sidewalk scaffolding and recent spread of “e-bicicals like rockets in bicycle strips”. The writer noticed: “Technocratic intolerance for a disorder was the last thing in New York during the Bloomberg administration, but it’s hard new.”

Another assumption, Tyrangiel said, is that “Given the general mood of the Democrat, it is not moderate enough. In order to reach the electorate, moderate must also be angry.”
“You know, we usually associate fire suitcases with an extreme kind of thing,” Weiner said. “Well, what if the fire is just, like, You have to collect garbage, man?? “
One key aspect that Tyrangiel noticed from watching candidates at the forum and zoom meetings is that Weiner locks the horns not only on problems, but to the basic groups of polling units within his party. When the union that represents medical residents and trainees spoke about the construction of more residence near the hospitals, Weiner said, “Will I do it for the firefighter? Will I do it for the boys who do in the repair department? Tell me how you expect this to function.”
The Atlantic writer also recorded another exchange on which Weiner had fallen into the progressive Orthodoxy at homelessness.
During one part of the interview, Weiner claimed that there was a certain authenticity in disagreement with the voters: “Sometimes they actually like it when you say,” F — I? F — TI. “It’s more acknowledgment that you actually listen to them than just say” yes, I agree. “
