The DC Federal Judge was on the side of the USAIDs of the worker on Thursday, giving their request to expand the limiting order that prevents Trump administration effectively excluding an agency for a foreign assistance.
American District Judge Carl Nichols, a Trump’s namedHe said he would extend a temporary limit order in a week, with plans to make the final decision on the request for blocking President Donald Trump on February 21.
His new order points to the Government to re -establish all the employees of the USAID who put on administrative leave and prohibit Trump’s administration to carry out any new administrative leave for USAID employees.
The hearing on Thursday is focused on the level of “irreversible damage” allegedly against Trump’s executive action in court. Nichols raised the plaintiff’s lawyers in detail the questions about the impact of a stopping order that put almost every USAID employee on leave.

Karla Gilbride, represented by the American Association for Foreign Services and the US Federation of Government employees, told the judge that USAID employees had suffered damage because of their own concern for safety and care for their well-being.
“This is not several isolated incidents, this is an unprecedented dismantling of the congress created agencies,” she said. Prosecutors “damaging the actions that are unconstitutional … This is a coordinated and unconstitutional effort to remove the agency.”
In the meantime, the lawyer of the Ministry of Justice, Eric Hamilton, said Nichols that the complaints of the USAID were a “nature staff”, claiming that they should be treated through the appeal proceedings for the protection of the Committee of Merit (MSPB), not a federal court.
Hamilton also pushed the claims of “irreparable harm”, saying Nichols that the Government was “dedicated to their safety”.
“98% of those who have been placed on administrative leave were in the United States, and are left in developed countries like the UK,” Hamilton said.
He pointed to the verdict on Wednesday night from the American District Judge George O’Toole at Massachusetts, allowing Trump administration delayed by resignation – colloquially known as the resignation fork in the road – claiming that the action is similar.
Last week, Nichols approved the U.S. Employment Agency’s request to temporarily block the Trump Administration Command, which would have put about 2,200 USAID employees from last Friday, and all employees living abroad gave us 30 days to return to us in us Soil on government costs.
The command also temporarily returned about 500 employees that Trump put on administrative leave.

In his decision last week, Nichols said that, for banning court intervention, a sudden order would cause “irreparable damage” to employees affected by the withdrawal orders.
He paused for Trump’s administration plans until Friday, February 14, which Nichols said would allow “accelerated” arguments to help the court determine the legality of the actions.
