President Donald Trump State Secretary of State Marco Rubio at the oval office ceremony swore a new special envoy in the Middle East on Tuesday.
Speaking before the oath, Trump praised Witkoff, who played a key role in ensuring an extended interruption between Israel and Hamas and the return of 33 hostages, including two Americans, who held Hamas.
Trump said that Witkoff “was with me, more or less on one or the other, each step of the way,” adding that he has “absolute trust and support and trust” in the ability of his delegate to the Middle East to secure key contracts in the Empire of a foreign diplomacy, such as an agreement on fire between Israel and Hamas Ukraine and Russia.
Although Witkoff is a real estate business by trade, Trump said that “he quickly established himself as one of the toughest, smartest and best negotiators in business,” which he chose him for an important role of a special envoy to the Middle East.

“As a businessman, everyone admired and respected him, and now Steve puts his talents to work for the US special envoy to the United States and achieves great progress. Our country is blessed to have a negotiator about such a skill and experience that really does not walk to the plate, constantly put on,” said the president.
Trump noted that there is some curve of learning for Witkoff when it comes to relations with a foreign government, but he said he “came up with a” lightning pace.
“He takes him about an hour to understand that,” Trump said. “After that, he’s brutal. He’s a great job.”

Trump noted that Witkoff was already active in the last few months, meeting Russian President Vladimir Putin, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Iran leaders.
“He works tirelessly to end the bloody and destructive conflicts,” Trump said, giving Witkoff’s success in negotiations with various world leaders so far.
After the ceremony, Trump asked questions from journalists, addressing a series of topics, including announced a truce between the US -ai Houthis. When asked about conflicting reports showing that Houthis did not plan to stop attacking Israel, Trump said that the surrogates of terrorism “very strongly” stated that “they do not want anything with that [the United States]. ”
Trump has also been asked questions about the current conflict between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, and especially about the release of the remaining 21 living hostages.
“This is a terrible situation. We’re trying to get hostage. We have pulled them out a lot,” Trump told reporters, noting that it is also important to find and bring back the bodies of those Hamas already killed.
