President Donald Trump said he won’t fall Tariffs on China To get Beijing to the negotiating table.
The president discussed his attitude about the tariffs, which he defended, in an interview with NBC’s “Meet The Press” on Friday from his MAR-a-Laza estate. He claimed that
“They said they wanted to talk today. Look, China, and I don’t like it. I’m not happy about this. The cinema was killed right now,” Trump told host Kristen Welker. “They are absolutely destroyed. Their factories close. Their unemployment goes through the roof. I don’t look for it in China now. At the same time, I don’t ask for cinemas to make hundreds of billions of dollars and build more ships and more military tanks and more planes.”

“At some point I will lower them, because otherwise you could never work with them,” he added later. “And they want to do business as if their economy really works bad. Their economy collapses.”
Trump withdrew to the assumption of Welker’s question of whether he would consider relief for small businesses. The president said the host of the NBC should consider larger companies, such as the car industry, that he would “earn wealth” because of his tariff plan.
