Zelenskyy said earlier that if Easter actually received a fire, he would suggest extending it longer.

“This will reveal the right intentions of Russia-because 30 hours is enough to make titles, but not for the true measures of the construction of confidence,” he said. “Thirty days could give peace a chance.”

Zelenskyy added that “there is no confidence in the words coming from Moscow” after one of his military leaders reported that it appeared that Russia had broken their truce.

“We know too well how Moscow manipulates and we are ready for anything. Ukraine’s defensive forces will work rationally – responding in nature. Every Russian strike will be welcomed by an appropriate answer,” Zelenskyy said.

Fitzpatrick added that he felt like State Secretary Marco Rubio “great job and understands Putin.”

“He understands the dynamics of the conflict of Russia-Ukraine and history there. And I have the full faith in his ability to deal with the righteous and honest agreement,” Fitzpatrick explained. “But it is important to remember, and this applies to all agreements in which we make it easier as a nation, it is eventually on the nations to accept and adhere to these conditions.”
