CIA director John Ratcliffe said on Wednesday that restructuring in the direction of President Donald Trump is underway to eliminate “a well-documented politicization of” the agency.

“Mr. President, CIA is restructured in your direction to focus on our basic mission and eliminate a political-well-documented politicization that has been in the past in the intelligence community from bad actors to focus on our basic mission and make America safe,” Ratcliffe added.

“I am grateful that I have a privilege to lead an intelligence community according to the end of the weapon. The politicization of the intelligence community lasted too long,” Gabbard said. “And the construction of what is truly a thin and agile and effective intelligence community that helps you promise the American people of security, security and freedom.”

One of these agencies was CIA. Ratcliffe also told the cabinet meeting on Wednesday that CIA, in Trump’s direction, negotiated and secured the release of Americans like Mark Fogel and Xenia Karelina, “Who was wrongly detained, sending a message that you will forget about Americans who are held in other places unjustly and unjust.”
