Teary-eyed ex-Tennessee star Candace Parker reflects on Pat Summitt’s legacy

Before she beat the couple WNBA MVP Trophy, Candace Parker has grown to national basketball at the University of Tennessee. Parker was a member of the two national championship teams, earning the NCAA tournament the most prominent player.

Parker led coach Pat Sumtt during his standing volunteers. Parker, the “NBA analyst on TNT”, took a moment to share the fact that she still carries the lessons the late coach instilled in years ago.

“I would say that eye contact is really, really, really important. And she was the first person who really made me really look at her when she was talking,” Parker replied at the request of co -organizer Adam Lefkoe to share some unforgettable advice from Summitta during the Story’s segment.

“And so, now, when I’m home, I give birth to my son, my son says, ‘Look at me. Look at me. “Like the whole time, because I didn’t realize that she had that crystal blue look all the time that she could make you want to run through the walls. Parker added.

Lefkoe thanked Parker and then remembered the other story once told by the triple WNBA champion.

“We all want to have a relationship with someone the way you did with the Pat,” Lefkoe said. “I will never forget you to tell me the story of how you came to college. You were hurt, and she would just make you sit there. And you would talk. I think it’s a blessing. I want to thank you for sharing these stories with us because we don’t have those relationships as we did. We love you.
