The Supreme Court will consider on Tuesday whether parents can exclude from their Children read LGBTQ books In a classroom conflicting with their family’s faith.
Parents in Montgomery District, Maryland claims that schools of their children are violating their religious freedom, not allowing them to decide on the lessons used by books with LGBTQ stories.

Although the school district originally allowed the possibility of giving up, he announced in March 2023 that the option would not be approved and that the parents would not be informed before the books were introduced to the classrooms of their children.

Grace Morrison, one of the plaintiffs in the case, is a mother of seven children living in Montgomery County. Her youngest child, who has Down syndrome and other special needs, attended public school and went to fourth grade when she was aware of new school policies.
“We felt like parents that we would present these things to our children as we always had, when ready to receive them. And a special child with special needs, it is even harder for her to understand” Morrison told Fox News Digital in February.

Morrison told Fox News Digital that the books in question, including stories that represent the issues of gender ideology, could be confusing and going against their faith. In this case, prosecutors include Muslim, Catholic and Ukrainian Orthodox practitioners.
According to Becket, the Montgomery County Committee in Maryland is one of the few school boards throughout the country who has banned the notifications and abandonment of parents about sexuality and sexual teaching.
Becket lawyer William Haun told Fox News Digital that he would direct his argument to the Supreme Court on parents ‘rights’ first amendment Violated by this school policy, saying that the free exercise clause protects the authority of parents, even to children in public schools, to give up the instruction that would be interfering with their child’s religious development.
