Shooting outside the Kirtland air basin in New Mexico One aircraft left dead and the other hospitalized early on Saturday morning, the air forces said.
Members of the 377th security forces responded to the incident to Truman Gate with Albuquerque Base at about 2am.
The aircraft was found dead at the scene, the air force said.
The second wounded aviation was shot in the hand and was released from the hospital, Air Force he said in a statement.

In the update, the Air Force said the incident led to an extraordinary pursuit that resulted in the shooting.
The Air Force Special Investigation Office investigates the shooting together with the FBI and Albuquerque Police Directorate.
Air Force added that there was no threat to the public.

The army did not reveal the identity of the shooter or said if anyone was in custody.
Albuquerque police are no longer looking for suspects, police spokesman Gilbert Gallegos told Associated Press.

Air Forces have said that shooting is not an outsider attack or is related to terrorism.
