Lawyers for Scott Peterson On Monday, he filed a petition they say they contain evidence showing that the 52-year-old did not kill his unborn son and wife in 2002.

AND Los Angeles The Innocence project, which was taken over by Peterson, was submitted on Monday by the Habeas Corpus scripture, which the group claimed in a press release contained “significant new evidence”. Peterson’s lawyers claimed that the petition of Peterson had been rejected by a fair trial during his trial in 2004, claiming that his belief should be canceled.

“This … The Habeas Corpus writings presents new evidence that was not available at the time of the trial, supports the applicant’s request of innocence and shows that injustice was convicted,” the petition said on Monday. “This new evidence undermines the entire case of the prosecution against the applicant and shows that the jury relied on false evidence, including false scientific evidence, to condemn it.”

Peterson’s lawyers argued in the submission of the request that the case against him was “completely indirect”, adding that “no direct, physically or forensic evidence that supports any part of the prosecution’s theory or otherwise implying the applicant” was not established.

Laci Peterson disappeared from Para Modesto’s house in California on Christmas Eve at the end of 2002. The pedestrian found the body of his unborn son, broken down at that time, in the Gulf of San Francisco in April 2003.

At the appointment, lawyers claimed that the jurors had not heard the evidence they believe they would affect the outcome of the trial and accuse the prosecutors of potentially destroying evidence.

“Every aspect of the prosecution theory of the crimes committed in this case has now proven to be false,” the petition states. “New evidence derived in this modified request shows that the entire theory of the case was wrong … In some cases, no individual mistake is harmful enough to guarantee relief, but when there are numerous constitutional or legal violations, the court will conclude that the mistakes are cumulative, which is certain in case it is a belief and that it is basically the guarantee of the applicant.
