22-year-old college student in North Carolina is dead after a man allegedly broke into her House of Friends in South Carolina During the weekend he shot his chest after stoleing several credit cards.
Police Chief Columbia Skip Holbrook Described the crime as “random” And suspect, 30-year-old Alexander Dickey, as a “career criminal” during a press conference on Monday.
Logan Federico, a teacher who hoped for Waxhaw, North Carolina, was visiting her friends at Columbia in South Karolina and stayed at a house on Cypress Street, May 2, May 3rd May 3rd.
Early on Saturday, Dickey drove a stolen vehicle into the neighborhood and parked a car at Cypress Street, seemingly random to Columbia police. He allegedly broke into one home and stole the keys of another vehicle and firearm. He then broke into the house where Federico was staying, police said.

There, Dickey allegedly stole several credit cards, saw Federico sleeping in one of the rooms in the house and shot fatal.
Holbrook called Federico a “real victim.”
Authorities responded to residence around 11 am when Federico was declared dead from a wound of firearms.
The next day, Dickey started “Shopping Spree” using stolen credit cards in Western Colombia, and the stolen vehicle he used was broken in Saluda County, police said. He allegedly called a towing truck to transport the stolen vehicle to a residence in Gaston.

Authorities began to follow Dickey as a person of interest and responded to a residence in Gaston on May 3. He allegedly escaped from the house when they arrived, and the officials spent the rest of Saturday looking for him.
At about 4:00 pm, May 4, a resident of Gaston reported that a man, later identified as Dickey, emerged from the forest and steal a car. He drove to the initial implementation of the Gaston Residency Act, on the day before and forced his journey inside the house.

Federic’s father, Stephen Federico, remembered his daughter during a press conference. At the time of her death, she did two jobs as she studied to become a teacher, he said.
“My daughter, I nurtured. She was a strong, fun, dear person who did what she wanted to do and was spicy. She was the biggest fan of Taylor Swift I ever saw,” he said. “She loved and adored children – children of all ages.”

He also shared a message from his daughter Dickey. “You can’t kill my spirit,” he said.

Dickey is charged with murder, two points of first -degree burglary, two points of weapons during the commission of violent crime, possession of weapons by a convicted offense, two points of big theft, high motor vehicle theft, three points of financial transaction ticket.
“Dickey … he’s a criminal,” Holbrook said.
“He deserves to be in prison for the rest of his life.”
Court records show that Dickey was included in 40 criminal and traffic cases between 2013 and the present. There are beliefs for breaking and entering, burglary, big theft, robbery of strong hands, possessing a stolen vehicle, resisting arrest and more.

Columbia Police Directorate has announced that “she is grateful for her extraordinary partnership between the Richland County coroners, the Sheriff of the Lexington district and our team of Columbia. Due to our common efforts, the suspect has been identified and arrested.” (Columbia PD)
His latest condemnation for resisting arrest resulted in a 30 -day prison sentence.

We are grateful for the extraordinary partnership between the Richland County Monsterial Office, Sheriff’s Lexington Sheriff and our team of Columbia. Because of our common efforts, the suspect was identified and arrested.”
“We are still dedicated to following justice and support for Logan’s family at every turn,” the department added.
