State Secretary Marco Rubio said on Tuesday that Marc Fogel, an American who was Closed in Russia He was released since 2021 because he now has a “strong president” to President Donald Trump.
Rubio has comments during appearances at the Fox News “Hannity”.

Fogel, a history teacher who worked at the Anglo -American school in Moscow, returned to the US after releasing Russia after talking to Trump’s administration.
Held a 14-year sentence after his arrest in August 2021 at the Russian airport for possession of drugswhich his family said was medically prescribed marijuana.
After arriving in the United States, Fogel from Pennsylvania met with Trump in the White House and called him a “hero” for the release of release. His family, in a statement, also thanked Trump for his “unwavering leadership” that helped Free Fogel.
Asked by a journalist on Tuesday if they had given up anything in return for Fogel now, Trump answered “Not much” without the offer of additional details.

Rubio emphasized the importance of having a strong leader as a president when dealing with sensitive things with other leaders around the world.
“We have a strong president, I think people forget how important it is,” Rubio told host Sean Hannity. “At the end of the day, we are dealing with strong leaders around the world. We may not like or what they do, but these are strong leaders who respect strength. And that is what we have with Donald Trump in the White House and he has done the priority of the campaign .

“I think the reason why this could be related to so many other things over time because of that power,” the secretary said. “When you have a president who is strong, like Donald Trump, you will have the opportunity to achieve things, whether in Ukraine and ended that war, whether they are some of the conflicts we now see in the Middle East or anywhere in the world because they know not to play around. “
