After the night out with his future wife, Dolph Lundgren decided to step into the ring of vodka production.

“I’m originally from Sweden, and people drink a lot of vodka in Sweden, because it’s cold and dark there in winter,” he told Fox News Digital. “… but then I took my future wife to Santa Barbara on the dateand I tried some vodka [at this] bar. I didn’t really love them. I liked straight over the ice and couldn’t find one I really liked. They were all very sharp. And after complaining for a while, she said, “Why don’t you make your own?”
Not willing to give up the challenge, Lundgren accepted Emma Krokdal in Dare.

“I looked at the vodka space and looked somehow boring compared to Tequila,” he divided. “Many people from Hollywood or fun went to Tekila and whiskey. … Vodka was a wide open field … I wanted to have fun and bring a little action movie Pizzazz.”

Lundgren and Krokdal were looking to find the best distillery to revive their idea of perfect vodka. In Idah, a two -hour flight from their California house found exactly what they were looking for.

The final product, which was awarded double gold in the San Francisco World Spirits competition in 2024, contained “bright notes of Fennel, Green Apple and just a little butter”, Forbes reported.
Dolph Lundgren said the distillery in Idahu helped revive her vision. He collaborated with the celebrated global bartender Philip Duff, who trained him. (Hard -cut vodka)
“Those who liked my wife and I liked the best from Idah, where they have a series of vodka,” he explained. “The one we liked came from a certain distillery … It was a vodka potato. It turned out that the potatoes gave a really nice feeling of mouth. … Once we found it, we realized that it was now American vodka, which is cool … here belongs. And that is something I can endure behind.”
“With all the trade wars and everything, it is also an advantage to be vodka American,” Lundgren laughed.

Investing in America was important to the star, he said. After living and excluding in the United States, Lundgren officially became an American citizen in 2024. The Krokdal, who is norwega originally, also participated in the naturalization ceremony with his husband, where they both swore to the US oath, People magazine reported.

“It was very important to invest in America,” Lundgren explained. “I’m from Sweden, But I’m an immigrant and … all the good things in my life came from America. I switched from chemical engineering and martial arts to become an actor, a movie star in Hollywood. This could not have happened in any other country. And so, I feel comfortable working in America with Americans. “

“It just makes it easier because it’s all more organized,” he said. “People are more on the ball when you are doing a job. Yes, it’s important to me, and I think the Americans will like the fact that it is American vodka. It is sophisticated. It’s hard, but smooth and has an elegant picture. Just because it’s all -American does not mean that it can’t be sophisticated and elegant.”
The star noted that he always felt proud to build life and career in America. And when The time has come to become a citizenHe felt “better late than never.”

“It was time,” he thought. “I’ve been here for 40 years. I went to school here when I was in teenagers and moved here. I was an American resident for a while. Then I got married and moved to Spain for various reasons.
“I lived there and my children grew up in Spain, my two daughters. But I always wanted to come back. I moved here about 15 years ago, and then I returned the residence. And then I decided to want to become a citizen.”

“This country was my life,” Lundgren said. “Everything is good in my life from America. I love Sweden, but as I said, I’m very close to this country. “The lights came in and all of a sudden everyone looked at me,” Lundgren continued. “I was a little – I didn’t know what to do. I felt really sick to my stomach, but excited. We came out and people were taking pictures of me now. It took me a few years to get over it.”

Lundgren admitted that it was difficult for him to navigate his fame. His relationship with Jones, who is now 76, has eventually come to an end. But over the years, he found himself busy to appear In blockbuster franchises, including “The Expendables”, “Creed” and “Aquaman”, among others.
He is still a good friend with Stallone, 78, who now lives in Palm Beach, Florida. Their daughters also created friendship.

“It’s quite unusual to be close to someone for 40 years in this business and being in the ring, hitting each other,” Lundgren said.

“Throwing each other, it creates a certain friendship. Now we have made six movies together. And he is a very smart, talented guy. Sometimes you play characters who are simplified and physically, people assume you are not intelligent. But he is a very talented artist. And he is very funny. I loved to meet him over the years.
“Rocky,” Lundgren said, will always have a special place for a star.
