Pritzker moves to boycott El Salvador for helping Trump deport suspected MS-13 gang member

The Illinois JB Pritzker government ordered the state to inspect any investment and business with El Salvador, which could lead to a boycott to help the Central American nation in Trump’s administration in deportation of criminal illegal migrants.

In a statement, a democratic governor said the move was a response to defiance of the court order and the case of Kilmar Abrega Garcia, a suspicious member of the MS-13 gang with relationships with the trade of people, detained in El Salvador.

“The Constitution of the United States guarantees the procedure. We are witnessing that Donald Trump is disturbed by our fundamental constitutional rights in real time and we must fight to restore the balance of power,” Pritzker said in a statement. “The State of Illinois will be advocated for the rule of the law and do everything in our power (to) stop the Trump administration to separate our most basic rights.”

Fox News Digital addressed the White House for comment.

Pritzker said he was looking for the State Investment Committee of Illinois, a retirement system at state universities and a system retirement system to “identify any investment in the Fund” that are fully or partially managed, possessed or controlled by the Salvadorane Government or have to do with companies in El Salvador.

He also sent the Illinois Department of Central Management (CMS) to identify all state contracts allocated to companies with Latin American land.

The Office for Trade and Investments of the Ministry of Trade and Economic Opportunities Illinois (DCEO) was also ordered to analyze the trade between Illinois and El Salvador, including the proportions and nature of the imports and scope in which the goods were manufactured in El Salvador in the product supply of products produced in Illinois.

Pritzker’s command followed because at least five Democrats traveled to El Salvador with the intention of meeting Abreg Garcia. Four was rejected by a meeting of the Salvadorane Government.

Senator Chris Van Hollen, D-Md., Met him in the midst of a legal battle for his return.

Trump’s administration has previously admitted that she was wrongly deported to Abrego Garcia, an illegal immigrant with alleged relationships with the MS-13 who lived in Maryland, but since then he said he would not help him home.

The Supreme Court ordered the administration to “facilitate” the return of Abrega Garcia to the United States, however, he said that El Salvador was responsible for his return.

Salvadrana President Nayib Bukele said he would not return it. Democrats claim that Abrego Garcia was deprived of his duty, which Trump’s administration denies.

The report states that a highway patrol soldier in Tennessee withdrew Abbrego Garcia in 2022 after he turned away. The patrol police officer found eight more people in the car from Abrego Garcia, who had just started driving three days before.
