Pope Francis and Vice President JD Vance briefly met on Easter Sunday at Casa Santa Marta Casa, Holy See’s Press Office confirmed.
“I know you didn’t feel great, but it’s good to see you in better health,” Vance Pope said in a video shared by the Vatican. “Thanks for seeing me.”
Francis, 88, which is still recovering from almost fatal pneumonia, received Vance in one of the reception rooms of the Vatican Hotel in which he lives. The Pope offered to the Catholic Vice -President of three large chocolate Easter eggs for Vance’s three young children, who did not attend, as well as the Vatican tie and rosary.
Vance’s motorcycle Karada was on Vatican territory 17 minutes reported to Associated Press.

“There was a cordial conversation,” the media report said. “During which a joint commitment to protect the right to religious freedom and freedom of conscience was restored.”
“There was also an exchange of attitudes on an international situation, especially in connection with countries affected by war, political tensions and severe humanitarian situations, with particular care focused on migrants, refugees and those in prison,” he continued.

Francis, who greatly reduced his load for recovery, celebrated the celebration of the Easter mass on the other cardinal. Francis made Migrant care a sign of his papacy.
Vance turned into Catholicism in 2019, AP reports. After a meeting with Francis, he joined his family for Easter Mass in St. Paul in front of the walls, one of four pontifical basilica in Rome. Vani visited the grave of the apostle of St. Paul, who is said to be there.

Vance met on Saturday with the Vatican State Secretary, Cardinal Pietro Parolin and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Archbishop Paul Gallagher.
