NYC making it easier for migrants to get benefits, housing: report

New York City Officials make it easier for illegal aliens to procure a personal ID of the city, in turn make it easier for them to get residence and free health care, reports.

The members of the City Council have brought a change supported by Mayor Eric Adams, which opens 23 additional types of identity cards that immigrants can provide to obtain a New York residence.

New York Post reported that some of the examples of identification that Immigrants can provide Include the driver’s license for expiration; documents from American immigration and customs execution (ICE) or Federal Prison Office; and about 100 other forms of identification to get idnyc cards.

The administration of former Mayor Bill de Blasio first introduced the city ID in 2015 to help migrants access free health care, enroll in school, open accounts at banks and more.

To date, almost 1.7 million people have acquired an ID. Last year, 132,054 IDs were divided, while the previous year was 127,859, according to the city.

They don’t think it’s a good idea to make it easier to get a city ID. In fact, Rev. Nicole Milliotakis, Rn.y., told the post that it was a “terrible idea.”

“Illegally provide a legitimate government ID card to individuals in the country, and then allows them access to government buildings and services is just another incentive [to come here]”She told the publication.” The most disturbing is that there is no verification, there is no procedure to ensure that the documents proved to be proven are not false and, in order to start, destroy these documents that could be helpful in the investigation. “
