Zack Peter, hosting the popular Pop Culture Popcist “No Filter”, is not impressed With glorious figures who became too political from late.
On social networks or at big prizes, they show stages, Hollywood stars have informed viewers where they stand on hot buttons-they have been like that they wanted to know or not. Peter singled out Rachel Zugler and Selena Gomez as two latest vocal celebrities.
In January, Gomez posted a video on her Instagram, crying over a state of immigration in the US based on her next moves, including walking the Oscars Red Teph in an expensive ensemble, Peter suggested that her tear was a message.
“People are kind of tired of Hollywood, telling us what we should do,” Peter said Fox News Digital. “I think this last year has pointed out about it. You know, Hollywood virtue signaled and pretending to care about these causes. Like Selena Gomez, remember when she cried about immigration a few weeks ago, and then two weeks after that, she dripped her on the red carpet in gems and suddenly is no longer important?”

“All my people become attacked, children,” Gomez said through tears in Instagram video. “I don’t understand. I’m so sorry, I wish I could do something, but I can’t. I don’t know what to do. I’ll try everything, I promise.”
She deleted the message shortly after, before she posted another, now deleted Instagram story with the inscription reading, “Obviously it’s not okay to show empathy for people.”
“Well, I think people just feel like it’s false, right?” Said Peter. “There are many virtues of signaling. There are a lot of cracking from which I think people are just tired. We don’t want to be handed over.”
The “Snow White” star Rachel Zegler’s own controversial posts on social media have been partially blamed for the insidious box-office performance of Disney Remake’s 1937 animated classics in the last few weeks. In the months that led to the movie edition, Zugler posted “Free Palestine” on X and wished that president on Instagram Donald Trump And his supporters “never know peace.”

When asked how Hollywood reacted to Trump’s second term, Peter again questioned the motives of the celebrities and whether they were actually assisted in solving the problems they sound.
“So, I think people have somehow adapted when celebrities give their political filling of comments on social media, unless you like Rachel Zugler, where you go out strongly with the opinion that polarize her,” he said. “I think there is a way to share your support for something without isolation of people at the same time. And so I think we need more than that. If you are going to talk about it, at least try to make the message unite and not create more political divisions.”
“And then when it comes to Trump specifically, I mean, I don’t know, I didn’t see much – I don’t think what you have like Jane Fondas that will go out and use a award stage to make a comment on how waking up just means empathy, but I see many Hollywood doubles about things that I think is obviously missing Mark,” he added. “

As she accepted the Award for Life at the Guild Awards (SAG) of the 2025, veteran actress Jane Fonda defended the word “wake up” as simply which means that one “caring”.
“What do we [actors] Create Empathy, “the Fund said.” Our job is to understand another human being so deep that we can touch their souls. “
Despite how highlighted their shots are, Peter noted, the influence of liberal celebrities was obviously limited on the basis of who won the 2024 elections.

“If Hollywood had power, Kamala Harris would be elected president,” Peter told Fox News Digital. “And we just see that people are simply no longer in contact with the glorious figures or their political statements. So, I think they really don’t have much, especially with this new administration.”
