“I know you would like to wear that number,” Taylor said. “But hey, I think it’s retired. Get another number. I don’t care if it’s a double zero and then make it known.”
Former striker Phil Simms said then He would allow Carter to wear their number 11, which the Giants withdrawn in 1995.
Carter wore a number in Penn State during his career. It is a badge of honor at school, given to a player at school and the last representative, feels worth it. The previous Nittany Lion that wore him before Carter was Micah Parsons, who now carries him with the Dallas Cowboys.
Carter said it would be “honor”, but Simms family is actually the one who turned it off.
