Packers President Mark Murphy had Green Bay Faithful in anger when he announced Golden as the first wide receiver to take the franchise in more than two decades, and his reception when he left the green room he wore a Packers hat and held a jersey, still doesn’t feel really.
“I still don’t feel really real.” As I said, I waited for my name to be called since I was six, and the way it happened that he was in Green Bay, to be the first receiver since 2002, that meant more to me.
“A lot of history behind it, and just the way it happened, I feel like God did so for a reason. It is something that will be with me forever.”

“There is definitely no pressure, but I definitely know I have to get in, I have to compete and I have to contribute to this team,” he explained. “It’s something I got in me, it’s a mentality I come. I have something to prove, and I come in and help us win. Whatever I need to do, that’s what I’m here.”
It is an overcrowded wide room in Green Bay, which included Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks. They all had their names called one way or another in 2024, but none of them appeared for Jordan Love as a true upper receiver.
It’s not always bad, but Packers fans would like their Davante Adams-, Jordy Nelson-, Donald driver a wide receiver who can rise above the others. Is it golden remains to be seen, but the first -team choice carries that weight.
Golden said he had already talked to Watson and Raed and that he could no longer be excited that his mark on Packers – in any role that could be.

“They told me they were happy to have me here, and it’s time to get started on work,” Golden said of his talks with Watson and Reed. “So, just entry and playing with such guys, it will be amazing. A lot of weapons, so I’m ready to come in and contribute to play with them and continue to have fun.”
What Golden immediately brings to the Packers offense is higher speed, and starting the line with Pod-4.30 40 yards. But he is more than just one trick pony in a transient game.
“My route runs. I can start any route tree in the book – inside and out,” he said. “Wherever it is, I can also match the hinterland. I just understand the game so welcome to where I can create a separation without starting full speed. I understand so well – many people think I don’t run fast on the field, but I don’t have to run quickly to open myself.
“I know they come to this organization here, they will definitely help me a lot with other tools that can help my game. I’m happy to be here, I’m happy to train me and I’m ready to come to work.”

Golden is happy and excited about where his NFL journey will start, and he felt a strong sense of community when he participated in “Games for the Day of Laundry” with Tide, along with former NFL Anthony “Spice” Adams.
“It was cool,” Golden said about his work with Tide. “Since I was with a spice, I was definitely a funny guy around. We played a lot of games, so it was a cool experience for me. I always wanted to be in a commercial video with Tide, and that was actually incredible to me.”
