One member of the Washington National Grouds crew was not as fast as it should have been on Saturday’s rain delay at Nationals Park.
Rain began to fall in the first inning of countless games between citizens and New York Mets.
The game started later than it was scheduled for unfavorable times, but the conditions forced the game to stop shortly after it started.

But shortly after the crew on the spot was sent to take out the tarpaulin, one person closely avoided what could be a serious injury.

The crew member seemed to have lost his balance, and the momentum passed him forward and across the cereal as he rolled at dirt. The crew members continued to roll the tar for a moment, resulting in a waterproof cover to be on the man’s back.
The rain delay lasted less than an hour. Once the action continued, Mets Catcher Francisco Alvarez hit a double Homer in another inning to bring New York a 2-0 lead. Mets held that leadership of eighth inning.

The game also marked the first series of former Washington Juan Soto in the National Park as a member of METS.
