The former first lady of Michelle Obama revealed another reason why she skipped the second inauguration of President Donald Trump, and this time she had anything to do with her wardrobe.
“It has started to have nothing to wear,” Obama said in the episode of her Podcast on Monday, “IMO with Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson.”
“I mean, I’m affirmative, because I’m always ready for any funeral, anything,” Obama added. “I walk around with the right dress, I travel with my clothes only if something jumps out. So, I was like, if I didn’t do this, I have to tell my team, I don’t even want to prepare a dress, right? Because it’s so easy to say, let me do the right thing.”

Before the inauguration, former President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama shared a statement When Associated Press confirmed that the former first lady would not attend the January 20th.

Michelle Obama also did not attend former President Jimmy Carter’s funeral on January 9th.
During a conversation with Robinson, her brother and actor Taraji P. Henson, Obama recognized the speculation that her marriage was in trouble as a reason why she skipped the inauguration.
“My decision to skip the inauguration, what people do not understand or my decision to make the decision earlier this year that suited me was to meet such a ridicule and criticism,” she said. “People couldn’t believe that for any other reason I was saying no, that they had to assume that my marriage was falling apart, you know?”

Henson praised Obama’s decision not to attend, saying that women were “shock absorbers”.
“You had to be shock absorbers for your husband, for your children, for your mom, for your family, your loved ones, because of the place where you sat in public,” Henson said. “It’s not fair to you. When do you ever live for you? I greet you. I’m happy to take care of yourself the way you need.”
Obama said she was now trying to learn her daughters Sasha and Malia, “The art of saying no.”
“I want to start practicing art now to say no, because I see it in them – pleasant, great, not wanting to take anything for granted, always showing gratitude,” Obama said. “I feel like they are enough right now. It’s a practice. It’s a muscle you have to build. Because if you don’t constantly build it, you don’t develop it.”

She too turned down the rumors of a divorce During the interview of Podcast 9. April o Sophia Bush’s Podcast “Working in progress”saying that skipping the inauguration has nothing to do with her marriage.
The former first lady said that the decision not to attend was simple.

“I am really trying to own my life here and deliberately exercise the choice that was real for me,” Obama said. “And I needed everything in my power not to do what was considered right, but do what was right for me – it was hard for me to do.”
