California State Attorney Rob Bonta is pushing against the request of the defense of Erik and Lyle Menendez to remove the Los Angeles District Prosecutor’s Office from his interference case.

The brothers’ lawyers claimed that the office had shown bias to them and broke Marsy’s law against their family.

In the opposition to 22 pages submitted this week, the AG office noted that the defenders of Menendez failed to express evidence that fulfilling the “strict standards” for the refusal of the DA throughout the Office, stating that each request was missing any merit.

“First, the transfer of two members of his office who previously supported the replacement is not enough to establish disabling, conflict of interest throughout the office. Second, even if the previous representation of Mrs. Catty Menendez’s brother could present a potential conflict, the Office of the District Lawyer pulled it out of this matter,” the address was read.

“As such, the defendants have failed to identify a disqualifying conflict that shows a reasonable possibility that prosecutors assigned to do discretionary functions in an even manner, nor have they found that any alleged conflict is so serious that it would probably be likely that he will not receive a vinegar orber, maintaining maintenance.”

Last week, the office that -a endured his own opposition, calling the move a “drastic and desperate step.”

La to reject Menendez Brothers’ Recousal pressure in exchange, calls it ‘drastic and desperate step’

Rob Bonta Wants Hochman's Office in Menendez

The California State Attorney invites the judge to listen to Lyle and Erik Menendez to retain the District Attorney’s Office of the La LA in that case.

District State Attorney Los Angeles Nathan Hochman submitted a reply on Friday, claiming it was Brothers Menendez They try to force the refusal simply because they are dissatisfied with the entire attitude of the district prosecutor about the replacement.

“In opposition, the District Prosecutor’s Office claimed that in a” drastic and desperate step, the defense decided to “weaken the central question of replacement” and to express an argument “deprived of credit” to throw out the entire district lawyer, “Hochman said.” The entire defensive argument for rejection is reduced to defense, which was not satisfied with the current attitudes. Although this desperate argument may act in an interview with the press, it fails in court based on the opposing system of justice. “

Lawyer Mark Geragos, who represents the brothers Menendez, wrote in the proposal on April 25 that Hochman should be taken out of “conflict of interest”. In this submission, Geragos wrote that Hochman “has a very different opinion” about renunciation.

“In the opinion of the prosecution, there was no sexual abuse at all. Outratizing is not appropriate, because although the defendants have admitted the shooting for decades, they continue to maintain (such as the trial) that they have been sexually abused from children,” Geragos wrote. “According to the opinion of the District Prosecutor, there may be no rehabilitation unless the accused not only recognizes the shooting, but the denying of the confirmed history of sexual abuse is not denied, which is why the first juries reached the judgments evenly divided between the murder and the murder.”

“Because the record shows a conflict that makes him unlikely that Eric and Lyle can get a fair hearing, rejection is correct,” Geragos added.

The proposal of the Menendez brothers for Hochman’s rejection focused on lawyer That Hochman recently hired. After the former Los Angeles District Prosecutor George Gascon announced that he was considering a request to replace Menendez brothers, 20 family members met with deputies of district lawyers Nancy Theberge and Brock Lunsford and discussed their support for replacement.

One family member, however, opposed the resentment and submitted an amicus submission to his lawyer Kathleen Cady.

When Hochman won the election against Gascon, Geragos claimed that Theberge and Lunsford were intentionally awarded because they thought they were sympathetic to Menendez brothers. Geragos also claimed that Hochman hired Cady, a lawyer who represented the only member of the Menendez family against the replacement, in order to run the Victims’ Lawyer’s Office.

Hochman allegedly has a list of 20 lies that the Menendez brothers have said in the last 30 years since their parents’ killings and earlier ABC News said To consider resentment if both brothers “honestly and unambiguously admit themselves, for the first time after more than 30 years, the whole range of their criminal activity and all the lies they said about it.”
