Cabrera, winner of the Green Jacket in 2009, returned to Augusta for the first time since 2019 after time served in prison for attack and intimidation. Journalists asked him if he “deserved” to play in this year’s master, given his time spent in prison for his crime. All winners have a lifelong exemption in the tournament.
His answer?
“Why not?”
He was 11 years old in his two rounds, tied to the second worst result.
Dustin Johnson
The winner’s weekend of 2020 ended in his heart. Johnson went to 18 years, but the expensive double flank sent him under the cutting line. This is his second directly missed incision in Augustus. 2023 ended in 48th place. His best ending from the victory was Tie for 12th place in 2022.
Brooks Koeka
Koeka attacked Major in 2023, finishing second in Augustia and winning the PGA Championship. Last year, the opposite was, and this week in Augustus was a sequel. Like his husband Johnson, Koeka was fine for the weekend playing, he was even until the 16th, but after 18 and four times bothering at 18, his result of the tournament increased to the 5th.

Will Zalatoris
Fans are still waiting for the pledge to make a jump, but that didn’t happen this week. The Zalatoris opened the day 2 and straightened up his first 10 holes, but he swallowed 11 and twice raised 12 and 15, and he didn’t throw it out of the race. His week ends 8 more.
Tony arguments
After tie a fifth in Genesis for the fifth, he played a weak golf, not ending within the top 30 on any of his last five tournaments. He laughed and at one point arrived under the cutting line, but he couldn’t hang.

Russell Henley
Henley has been asleep to run in a green jacket (including us). But, from the jump, he fought. 8-orth 80 put it on Friday in despair, and while on Friday 5-ites went for 67, his 3-lever was not enough for the tournament.
Phil Mickelson
Mickelson’s double beetle at 15. 15. She lowered him under the cutting line. He then swallowed 16 and 18 to go well. He shocked the world with a runner -up tie two years ago after a terrible last round, but since then he couldn’t find the same magic.
