Mark Wahlberg He shared the stunned reaction of his wife, Rhee Durham after the actor shaved his head to play his bald character in the new movie “Flight Risk”.
During a recent interview With “extra”, The 53-year-old actor explained that he decided to be partially without a hair for his role in an action thriller directed by Mel Gibson instead of wearing a bald cap.
“I don’t want to sit there and wait for two hours in a chair, putting a bald cap and then gluing pieces of hair and then having to repair,” Wahlberg said. “Like, shave it, finish it, you know, pour it in the morning because the hammers grow, so just wipe it and then you can be free all day.”

Although Wahlberg was pleased with his decision, he recalled that Durham, 46, was shocked when she first saw his new look.

“She was immersed under the blanket, brother,” Wahlberg said through laughter.
“She was like ‘aaa, run out of here,’ but then she got used to it,” he added. “After a while, she thought she was cool.”

Wahlberg and Durham, who got married in 2009, have daughters Ella (21) and Grace (15) and sons of Michael (18) and Brendan (16).
“It was the most prized to see my wife’s face when I took off my hat after a haircut for work that day.”
In June, Wahlberg first discovered his shaved head in a photo he shared on Instagram.
“No bald caps for me,” he wrote a picture of himself with his hairdresser. “Let’s go all in.”

During the June interview with People magazine, Wahlberg described in detail how he achieved the appearance of his character.
“I shaved the middle and left my horseshoe around the sides,” he told the newspaper. “Every day they would shave the top as close to the scalp as possible, obviously, because we didn’t have hair or something. So I just hid it with a hat.”

“But the most valuable thing was to see my wife’s face when I took off my hat after a haircut for a job that day,” Wahlberg said at the time.

While talking to “Extra”, Wahlberg recalled that his hairstyle became so comfortable that he sometimes “forgot about her”.

“I was on the UFC event and I appeared on a jumbotron and I wore a hat,” twice nominated for an Oscar he said. “I just wanted to take off my hat to greet everything out of respect and realized I was carrying it.”
“And then my son tried to shake him up,” Wahlberg recalled. “I said, ‘Old, you can’t show my hair now because I don’t want to smoke it for the movie’.”
The action thriller premiered in cinemas on January 24th. (Lionsgate)

With Wahlberg, “Flight Risk” also plays Michelle Dockery and Topher Grace. Synopsis Compassion for the movie is: “The American Marshal is boarding a small plane to transfer a government witness to New York. “Flight Risk” was released in theaters on January 24th.
