“After 6 years in NFL, I am officially treated,” he wrote in a statement published on his Instagram. “I am proud of the career I had, but I accumulated a combination of injuries that prevail my desire to continue playing.
“Thank you Atlanta Falcons for believed in me and assembled from the Perspective of the Radar DII. Thank you Detroit Lions for grabbing me and gave me another contract and let me show what I can do as the NFL starter. Thanks to the fronts and coaches that would help me if they had installed me and believed me.
Cominsky added that he “learned a lot” to play football and was grateful that he was given the opportunity to share the field with the players he admired as a young athlete and hand with Hall of Famers.

Falcon chosen Cominsky in the fourth round of the NFL draft 2019 from the University of Charleston, Western Virginia.
He played in 27 games for Falcons before appearing in 3022 and 2023 in 30 and 2023. He suffered torn MCL in the summer before the season 2024 and missed the whole season.
