Fertility clinic in Australia confirmed A critical mistake in which one woman gave birth to a second couple’s child after the embryo transfer went wrong.

Monash IVF has not published further information on how the child was returned to biological parents or the current legal status of the case.
The case echoes a similar incident in the US that includes Georgia’s wife.
In 2023, the Krysten Murray was subjected to the IVF treatment with coastal fertility experts and gave birth to a child who was not biologically hers. The DNA test confirmed an error, and after the battle for custody, Murray was forced to give a child, a boy, his biological parents.
Murray has since filed a lawsuit against the clinic, citing emotional trouble and negligence.
It is unclear whether the families involved will be compensated for the Monash IVF group error.
