Senator Jon Ossoff, D-Ga, said the economic challenge caused “chaos and uncertainty” by President Donald Trump, is the biggest question he is facing Peachemphasizing that the president’s uncertain economic policy influences how companies and residents make decisions for the future.
Ossoff, preparing to run for the 2026 re -election, potentially against the popular Republican Government, Gruzi Gruzi Brian Kemp, who has yet to announce if he will join the race. Ossoff is the only Democrat to seek a re -choice that represents the state that Trump won last year, making it the main goal of Republicans in the hope of holding its majority in Senate.
“I’m more than prepared for any challenger,” Ossoff, 38, said on Saturday Associated Press, while refusing to comment on all potential opponents.
Ossoff defeated the current Republican senator David Perduue in the 2021 run out, helping democrats to control the Senate and keep in most of the chambers for four years during the Administration of Biden.

During his first four years, Ossoff tried to establish a reputation of a senator that works to improve the traditional interests of Georgia, including his farmers and military bases. Says he will try work with Republicans deliver for Georgia.
Senator, who recently intensified his criticism of Trump, warned on Saturday that companies and households in Georgia were fighting for planning the future for constant changes in trade and economic moves of the Federal Government.
“Companies cannot invest with an understanding of what the rules of international trade will be from one hour or week or month to another,” Ossoff told Associated Press. “Households are not able to plan their annual budgets because there is so much chaos and uncertainty in the implementation of federal economic policy.”

Ossoff also expressed concern about Trump’s authoritarian and “non -American” executive actions from returning to the White House in January, pointing to the president’s attempts to follow their political opponents.
“We have never seen the president trying to have a federal government to overthrow his critics and political opponents,” Ossoff said. “It’s something new in American history, and in my opinion, non -American. And that is something that should cool us to the bone, regardless of our politics, regardless of our policy settings.”
The MP urged the Republicans to remember that in the end Democrat would be president again, and “the shoe will be on the second foot.”
“This applies to checks and balances,” he said. “This is about whether the executive power is limited as our constitution has designed, reasonable legislators who can put their partisation aside to protect the public interest.”
Ossoff explained that, although Democrats have a limited power without control of the White House or any Congress Chamber, a large part of their job is currently informing people from Georgia that Trump’s policy is not in the best interests of the state.

In addition to the criticism of Trump, Ossoff cited disadvantages during a bidan administration, especially when it comes to the safety of the border. He was one of the 12 Democrats who voted for the Laken Riley Act, named after a student of Nurses in Georgia, killed by Venecuelan migrant Jose Antonio Ibarra.
The law requires illegal migrants who have been charged – even without condemnation – for theft or violent crimes founded the Ministry of Homeland Security.
“It is my opinion that the American people expect and deserves safe boundaries,” Ossoff said. “And I don’t think Biden’s administration failed in their border policy. The American people expect and deserves people who illegally enter this country and can represent a threat of public security or national security that authorities captured.”

“But the American people do not support and does not expect federal police raids in elementary schools, hospitals and churches,” he continued, calling on to Trump administration Controversial actions of immigration. “AND [the American people] Do not expect our military installations to become massive prison camps for immigrants and do not want the whole families to be rounded off without any procedure. We just learned yesterday about a two-year-old American citizen-two-year-old girl-which was deported without a duty. Our immigration policy must be responsible and serious. It must also be humane. “
