A suspect that opened a fire at Florida University (FSU) in Tallahassee in FloridaOn Thursday, killing two and injuring six others, the law officials were identified as a 20-year-old son of Sheriff’s deputy.
The Sheriff of the Leon Walter McNeil is identified Phoenix Ikner as Sagittariussaying, “It’s not a surprise to us that he had access to weapons.”
His mother Jessica Ikner sheriffs is a pronoun with Sheriff of the Leon County Office. She has been with the office for over 18 years, and McNeil said she had done a “huge job” in her position. During her career, the authorities said she had served as a school resources officer.
McNeil said Phoenix Ikner used his mother’s gun in a fi -in shooting.

“Unfortunately, her son had access to one of her weapons and that was one of the weapons found at the scene. And we continue with the investigation that those weapons are used,” McNeil said.
The Phoenix Ikner was appointed Sheriff’s Office of the Leon County as a member of the Advisory Council for Youth 2021-2022 17. August 2021, which was founded in 2020 to ensure an open Communication line between Leon District and Local Laws, McNeil said.

According to Sheriff’s office, the Council plays a role in the Sheriff’s counseling, but also addresses other teenagers in the county to inform them of existing capabilities. They also develop skills in the complication, leadership and construction of the team during the completion of hours of work in the community. Ultimately, members of the Youth Advisory Council use skills to help them find ways to resolve questions that affect the county.
McNeill described Phoenix Ikner as a long -standing member of the Advisory Council for the Leon County Citizens, or a youth council council, who is “imbued” in the Sheriff’s Office family and involved in several training programs that the office offers.

Police said two people who were not students were killed and six people were transported to a local hospital with wounds from firearms.
Phoenix Ikner was also transported to a local hospital, police said.
Police said Phoenix Ikner urged his rights not to talk to the authorities.
