Tony Blanco, a former baseball league player, who played for Washington Nationals, is responsible for the rescue of teammates before he died in the Dominican Republic Roof collapse.

Unfortunately, Blanco died a few moments later.
Blanco, the World Series Champion of Octavio Dotel and Nelsy Cruz, the sister of the former All-Star striker, Nelson Cruz, were among almost 100 people who died when the roof crashed at the Jet Set Club in Santo Domingo on Tuesday morning.
Commissioner MLB Rob Manfred was among those who paid tribute to those who were lost.
“Baseball Major League is deeply sad for passing the Octavio Dotela, Tony Blanc, Nelsy Cruz and all the victims of last night’s tragedy in Santo Domingo,” he said. “We send our cordial condolences to the families and friends of all those who are affected by our colleague Nelson and his entire family.
“The connection between baseball and the Dominican Republic is running deep, and we think about all Dominican players and fans throughout the game.”

Officials said the number of deaths increased to 98 while the rescuers continued their angry search for any survivors.
Juan Manuel Mendez, Director of Emergency Room, said an emergency staff on Tuesday night, still passes through the ruins.
“We will seem tirelessly to look for people,” Méndez said.
Jet Set is known in the Dominican Republic for its Monday parties where famous artists perform. The singer of Merengue Rubby Perez performed when the roof collapsed and is among the missing.
“That happened so quickly. I managed to throw myself in the corner,” he said, adding that he initially thought it was an earthquake, “said Perez’s manager Enrique Paulino.
Blanco, 43, played for Nationals in 2005. He appeared in 56 games and had one home. He spent most of his career either in smaller leagues or in Japan. His son, Tony Blanco Jr., is located in the Pittsburgh Pirates Agricultural System.

Dotel, 51, played for 15 years in majorettes and won the world series with St. Louis Cardinals In 2011 he spent five out of 15 years with Houston Astros. He picked up 109 savings in his career, along with a 3,78 era.
