When Dick Van Dyke first looked at Arlene Silver, he immediately hit it.
It was 2006, and much younger silver acted as a makeup artist at the SAG Awards. But for the “Mary Poppins” star, the age was just a number.
“I’ve never greeted a strange girl in my life. I was too scared,” the actor said People magazine on Sunday.

“But I was at the exhibition in Kululisje, and she was passing and for some reason I just jumped and said,” Hi, I’m Dick, “the 99-year-old recalled.” There’s something about her, and I was right. “
Van Dyke continued to hire Silver for other projects. In spite of their gap at the age of 46, Said “I” in 2012.
“We get along so well,” Van Dyke said. “Everyone said it wouldn’t work.”

“It’s … creepy how well it works,” Chimed Silver, 53. “People of the same age don’t last.”
“We care about each other so much,” she shared. “Made me feel like I could do anything.”

“We just like to be home,” Silver explained. “We love the malibu, And that’s our favorite place, especially our house … We are so grateful. Our house was hit by Franklin’s fire, but in the scheme of things we have great luck. “

Back in 2022. The actor admitted Closer weekly that he worried that the public would object to their age gap.
“I thought the crime would happen about the gold digger that married an old man,” he said at the time. “But no one has ever taken such an attitude.”
“We share an attitude,” he thought. “She can go with the course. She loves to sing and dance, which we do almost every day. She’s just wonderful.”

Silver said life with Van Dyke was blessed.
“He’s the most perfect human being,” she said. “I never met anyone so happy, so original, so amazing. He’s like a happy pill.”
Van Dyke said that his secret of longevity was “continue to move.”

“I was one of those happy people who had to do something for a living they would do for anything,” he said earlier about the socket. “That’s why I’m still here … I can’t get me off the stage.”
The star attributed its endurance to “good genes and did not hit them by bus.”
“I’ve always been a trainee and I’m still,” the actor said. “I go to the gym for three days a week, get into the pool and exercise. At my age they say I continue to move. Put me on solid soil and start taping.”

Van Dyke shared that he was doing water aerobics, lifting weights and walking on the racing track.
Back in 2015, Van Dyke wrote a book entitled “Continue to move other tips and truths about aging,” where he sincerely shared his tips on enjoying old age.
“Continue to move the main thing,” Van Dyke said, for example at that time. “I think in the book I repeat three or four times in the book,” don’t start down the stairs to the side. “It feels good on your knees, but it throws out the hips and backs starting out, the next thing you know, you have fallen and broke the hip.

“I think it’s more in my nature to be optimistic,” he continued. “I am one of those people who get up in the morning from the right side of the bed. I get up and drink a cup of coffee and go to the gym because I speak from it, because I want, as well as anyone will.”
“Everyone should dance,” he explained. “And everyone should sing. People say, ‘Well, I can’t sing. “Everyone can sing. [duets] goes at my house. “
Still, Van Dyke admitted to complaining – but he does not allow the past to prevent him from enjoying his life today.

“Well, I wouldn’t smoke or drunk anything,” Van Dyke said of what he would do otherwise.
“I think it brought me back. There are times to feel like I apologize to my body because of the way I treated it … I have arthritis and all those things, but I kept moving … I didn’t reveal dance and singing until I was in the 30s. That happened nowhere. I regret that I was taking a little.
Van Dyke told the socket that his wife was holding him on his feet.

“Sometimes I forget that we are doing a great experiment here – a difference in 46 years,” Van Dyke said. “And we work to some extent. We have to understand, find out what old habits they no longer work. It takes a little adjustment and fitting, but it’s part of the fun.”
