DHS says Trump administration not taking children away from parents

DHS said the child was taken off the deportation flight for their safety and well -being through a partnership with the Health and Human Services Department. The child remains in the care and custody of the Refugee Movement Office, and is housed with a foster family, the agency said.

The agency added that “parents wonder if they want to be removed with their children or the ice will put their children with someone who signifies the parent.”

“In this case, the parent stated that they wanted to be removed with the children,” DHS said.

“Due to the violent criminal activities of the parents, including home management, sex trade and abduction, the child was removed from his custody. We will not allow that child to be abused and further exposed to criminal activities that threaten her safety.”

The department thanked Trump for removed by a member of the TDA gang from the country.
