Democratic senator and Biden ally blames voters staying home for party loss

Senator Chris Coons, D-Del., He feels that Democrats “lost to the couch” more than they lost to President Donald Trump 2024.

“I think the reason we lost mostly with millions of people who decide not to vote,” Coons said. “We lost more on the couch more than we lost to Donald Trump. And if we focus on the questions that these people care about and we didn’t talk enough or fought for them enough, I think we win.”

Coons also said that Democrats should not allow Trump to distract them as “Matador with a bull” on a daily anger, warning “No one will know what we are advocating and what we are fighting” if we do.

Trump won the national vote with about 77 million votes compared to former Vice -President Kamal Harris 75 million votes. This is the first time a Republican presidential candidate has won a folk vote from George W. Bush 2004.
