Democratic lawyers from 19 countries filed a federal lawsuit against Trump’s administration over the Ministry of Effectiveness of the Government (Doge) access to sensitive, personal data Associated by Americans in the Ministry of Finance.
The lawsuit claims that Elona Musk agency illegally approached the central system of payment of the cash register at the Trump Administration order.
On Thursday, the treasury agreed to limit access to the Musk team with its payment systems, while the judge hears arguments in the previous lawsuit filed by the union and pensioner group.
The lawsuit, filed on Monday, claimed that the Musk team had violated the law by receiving a “full access to” the Treasury Payment systems.

Payment systems have information on the social security of Americans, Medicare and Using veterans, tax refund information and more.
US Treasury Minister Scott Beesent told Fox Business Wednesday worries are not valid.
“Doga won’t fail,” he said. “They move to many cheese here in the capital, and when you hear that, then some interest of the status quo is not satisfied.
“The Treasury does not touch our payment system. We process 1.3 billion payments per year. There is a study – can we have more responsibility, greater accuracy, more temptation to go where it is? But, but, in terms of stopping, it is, happens upstream at the ward level. “

Doge was launched to use a wasteful consumption in the Government, and already approach closing US International Development Agency (USAID).

The lawsuit was filed in New York by the State Attorney’s Office in New York, a loud Trump critic.
Includes general lawyers from Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, North Carolina, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont and Wisconsin.
“President Trump does not have the power to give private information to the Americans to anyone he selects, and he cannot reduce the federal payments approved by Congress,” James said in a statement. “Musk and Doge do not have the authority to access the private data of Americans and some of the most sensitive information of our country.”

Treasury officials on Wednesday denied a violation of the Privacy Act, saying that only two members of the Doge team received “only to read” access to information in payment systems.
