Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi accused the United States on Friday of “encountering good with evil” for imposing a new circle of “arbitrary tariffs” and vows.
Fire words Wang followed during Friday Friday press conferences on the Chinese side Annual parliamentary sessionJust a few days after the US charged duties against China – as well as Canada and Mexico – for charges of smartering fentanil.
All countries called these allegations unjustified, with China claiming that she had done a lot in recent years to suppress exports of industrial chemicals used to make fentanis – what Wang said with criminal tariffs.
Ministry spokesman Lin Jian claimed this week that Fentanil was “”a fluttering excuse“To lift the tariffs to Chinese imports, warning that” intimidation does not scare us “and” mistreatment “will not succeed.

In conversation with journalists on Friday, Wang said that fantasy was to believe that now they could “suppress China and maintain a good relationship” at the same time.
“Such two faces are not good for the stability of bilateral relationships or to build mutual trust,” Wang said.

The duties were the last in a series of retaliation tariffs that Washington and Beijing had imposed on each other since returning President Donald Trump in January. Trump raised flat tariffs to all Chinese imports to 20%, while Beijing opposed an additional 15% duties on American imports, including chicken, pork, soybean and beef and expanded business control with key American companies.

The annual press conference of the Foreign Minister is the only opportunity in which Wang talks to Chinese and foreign media about a series of topics. The event on Friday was dominated by questions about China’s relationships with the US, along with other topics such as regional conflicts and collaborations in the global south.

Regarding the policy of Trump’s administration to protect American interests above international cooperation, Wang said that such an approach, if adopted by every country in the world, would result in a “jungle law”.

“Small and weak countries will burn first, and the international order and rules will be under severe shock,” Wang said. “The main countries should take over their international obligations … and not strive to profit and harass the weak.”
