Career criminal beaten by Bronx residents after attempted rape: report


At a noon attack that withdrew the neighborhood of Bronx and 50-year career criminal With 19 previous arrests, the 70-year-old woman was allegedly trying to rape in daylight-just to be allegedly accompanied and beaten by outraged local residents the next day.

The incident took place around 1pm on Friday, April 18, near Creston Avenue and Eastern 184.

Police said the suspect, later identified as Oswaldo Ramos, approached the older woman from behind and tried sexually attacking sexually before he fled the scene on foot.

But the community did not intend to release an attack with no response.

The recording, part of the public appeal of the Division of the Suspect Identification Department, quickly circled the Internet and among the locals. It was this video that helped in the Vigilantes neighborhood to identify Ramos the next day, according to reporting from New York Post.

“Yes, we beat him up,” said a local resident of Post, asking him to remain anonymous. “Don’t do that, that’s something you don’t do. And if you come back, I’ll swing it again.”

Another neighbor supported him, saying, “We do not tolerate things here.” Others in the area allegedly helped to comfort the older victims immediately after the attack.

After trying to rape, Ramos fled the place and remained freedom for about 48 hours. During this time, Nypd continued to look for him, while members of the community remained on standby.

Ramos is charged with attempted rape and first-degree rape, according to NYPD. The sources for the implementation of the law said Ramos remained hospitalized from Tuesdays and had not yet been assigned. The scope of his injuries was not detected.

The alleged striker criminal memo is extensive. Ramos has been arrested 19 times, mostly for robbery and burglary, police reports.

In one case in 2018, he allegedly broke through and the bronx deli claiming that he had just shot a police officer and demanded money. Authorities later confirmed that no officer had been saved.

Despite his long Rap list, Ramos was free to walk the streets – until the inhabitants decided that there were enough of them.
