A series of Facebook ads funded by the California Democratic Party claims that Republicans are against stronger laws to protect the 16- and 17-year-old victims of sex trade for legislative fights over a Less pleas an account in which Democrats successfully forced the exclusion of a sharper penalty to buy or collect older teenagers.
Ads began to appear on social media after voting at the California Assembly last week when Democrats leaders refused to advance with the AB 379, which would make the automatic misconduct to buy or seek a 16- and 17-year-old for sex.
In every advertisement is the name and image of a state Republican legislator who “voted against stronger laws that protect” older teenagers than sex trade, accusing them of protecting their “political party, not our children.”

California MP Maggy Krell, Democrat, said she agreed to remove the provision in her proposal for the Law on Trade of Sex of Children who ensure a crime of buying a minor for sex is applied in all cases where the victim is under the age of 18. (Assembly Maggy Krell)
AB 379, the author of the Democratic Assembly Maggy Krell, was an attempt to overthrow customers at a child’s child trade trade and harmonize their penalties with people. The advertised campaign came after the public security committee under the supervision of Democrats decided to move the bill until he carried a provision for those who seek older sex teenagers.
At that time Krell told Fox News Digital that she was forced to turn off the provision for the criminal offense in order for legislation to move forward.
“I wholeheartedly disagree with that amendment,” she said. “This was my life work and I will continue to cooperate with the survivors of sex trade and the implementation of the law to ensure that all minors are protected from the horrors of sex trade.”
Democrats voted on Thursday to completely give up Kella, a former prosecutor who explored the trade of people, at the same time excluding the automatic crime clause. They also inserted the text that read: “The intention of the legislative body is to adopt the strongest laws for the protection of victims of 16 and 17 years and strengthening protection in support of survivors from humans.”
“Only when you thought that @ca_dem could not lower, more suffering and desperate, here they are, trying to turn falsely from a side internship with predators over the children, (bad) playing politics over people. So excited for 2026,” the California Republican Party divided on Monday at X.

Several Republican legislators have also gone up against the accusation that their party does not protect children.
“You see my Democrats’ friends lie … After inviting @asmdems last week to take up protection for 16 and 17-year-old victims, they manage ads that accuse us … for what they do,” composing Republican leader James Gallagher on X. “You can’t hide from truth with scarce ads.
Assembly Josh Hoover, one of several Republicans targeted in a bulletin campaign, said Democrats were trying to improve California.
“Don’t go wrong, these ads are nothing but interfere with your own failed public security record,” he wrote on social networks. “I will continue to fight for restoring the protection they have removed, I think the perpetrators are responsible and ensure that all minors are treated equally according to the law.”
The advertisement campaign was allegedly pushed by the campaign of the Assembly President Robert Rivas. Fox News Digital addressed California Democratic Party and Rivas’s campaign.

The AB 379 gathered after the older teenagers remained from the State Law that came into force this year, which is the criminal offense of buying a child at the age of 15 and younger for sex. Last year, State Senator of California Shannon Grove is the author of a draft law that has made the illegal purchase of a minor for sex, but has excluded 16- and 17-year-olds.
Currently, traders, not customers, face the strictest consequences when convicted of the trade of anyone under the age of 18.
Democrat last week California government Gavin News He said he supports sharp consequences for those looking for minors for sex.
Assembly Joe Patterson said that News lost control of her own party and that the state Democratic Party treats him “as a lame duck.” Assembly Kate Sanchez said that Democrats across the country failed to succeed in a number of questions, including public security, accessibility and homelessness.
“All they have left are dirty lies that journalists easily refute,” she wrote.
The National Republican Congress Committee also dealt with this issue.
“The California Democrats chose predators over children, and Democrats out of touches Derek Tran and Dave min said nothing,” said Christian Martinez, a NRCC spokesman for Fox News Digital as he called Democrat MPs. “The worse, they let their colleagues Democrats avoid their disgusting records of protection absolutely the worst among us.”

Last week, Krell said he didn’t care if the account had his name on him or not, but that he would support any proposal that included protection for 16 and 17-year-olds.
