Earlier this week, Cleveland Browns Co -owner Jimmy Haslam confessed to regretting Watson, and then caught him for a completely intrusive $ 230 million contract.
“We dived with great momentum and missed with Deshaun. We thought we had an attacker. We didn’t, and we gave up many drafts to get it. So, we have to get out of that hole,” he told reporters from the League’s annual meeting in Florida. “Listen, I said that I think Deshaun Watson was the overall decision on the organization, and ends with the (co -owner) Dee (Haslam) and I, so I think we are responsible.”

Well, shortly after these sharp comments, Watson went to Instagram to show the job he put in his Achilles rehabilitation.
In a post on social networks, Watson shared 20 photos of his rehabilitation, mostly in the gym, working sleeveless at Browns’s facility.
“Maybe if I wasn’t built for that, I would let me in phase ..” Watson wrote.
Watson was suspended to start his mandate in Cleveland, and only appeared in six games in 2022. The following season they kept him again on only six games. He then played only seven games in 2024 after suffering a ruptured Achilles during a home game. Achilles broke again earlier this year.
In his last season with Teksans in 2020, he led NFL in passing yards. But since then, he has yet to throw 1,200 in any season. He did not play in 2021.

The Browns twice re -cultivated Watson’s contract from December, with gaps added by 2030 to give them a certain financial flexibility to spread dead money on the contract, instead of scoring a huge hit in one season. Watson was supposed to be a free agent after the 2026 season.
All signs indicate that Cam Ward first goes to Tennessee Titans, but Sherdeur Sanders are likely to be available to the Browns with another choice. However, they did not show the hand at all, since Abdul Carter and Travis Hunter will also be on the board.

“I think the message is if the right person is there, we will take it” Haslam said recently. “If not, we will understand it for a year or two until we get the right person. There are good football players on this draft and we have to make sure we get the right one for us.”
