British counter -tourism arrested several Iranian men Through the alleged plan to attack the undiscovered location in London, she announced London metropolitan police on Sunday.
Five men aged 29 and 46 were detained on Saturday in various parts of England on suspicion of preparing a terrorist act.
Four men are Iranian nationals, while investigators are still working to determine the fifth citizenship.
In a separate investigation, three other Iranian men were arrested in London, at the age of 39, 44 and 55 years, on suspicion of offense of national security.

All suspects are examined at police stations, but they are not yet charged. Police are searching several estates in London, Manchester in the northwest of England and Swindon in West England.
Police said the parcel for the attack was targeting one place, for which the agency said it was not revealed “for operational reasons”.
Commander Dominic Murphy, who runs the Police Command for the fight against terrorism, said investigators are still working on establishing motives, “as well as to determine whether there may be a further risk for the public.”

Domestic secretary Yvette Cooper said that arrests were “serious events that show a permanent request to adapt our response to threats to national security.”
“The government continues to work with police and intelligence agencies to support all the actions and security assessments needed to protect the country,” she said.
In October, the head of the British Home Security Service MI5, Ken McCallum, said his agents and police identified 20 “potentially deadly” parcels that Iran supported since 2022, and most of the target Iranians in the UK who are opposed to the authorities.

McCallum said at that time there was a risk of “increasing or spreading Iranian state aggression in the UK” If Conflicts in the Middle East increased.
The official level of threats of terrorism in the UK is “significant”, which falls in the middle of a five -point scale, which means the attack is likely.
