The army paused all the helicopters’ training flights around the pentagon nearby Washington After a disorder on two commercial flights last Thursday.

But military officials said the helicopter does not fly the same way. Defense officials said the helicopter made a directing loop over Pentagon last week on the accepted parameters set by the FAA before landing on Helipad Pentagon.
Pentagon frustration is also growing with a carrier of transport by Sean Duffy because of the way of dealing with the situation.
“Our helicopter limits around DCA are crystal clear,” Duffy wrote on X Friday. “In addition to investigations with @NTSB and @faanews, I’ll talk to @Deptofdefense to ask why the hell are our rules neglected.”

“Safety must always be in the first place. We have just lost 67 souls! No more driving a helicopter for VIP or unnecessary training in a congested DCA -full civilian air space. Take a taxi or Uber -except most VIP has a black car service,” he continued.
Several Defense officials said they felt a blinded Duffy’s tweet, adding that they wanted Duffy to call and talk to someone in Pentagon before tweet.
No military VIPs were on board soldier training.

Thursday disorders come less than a month after FAA has increased staff and supervision for the DCA air traffic control team.
In March, FAA announced that it would permanently limit “irrelevant” helicopter operations Around the airport and eliminate mixed helicopter and fixed wing traffic.
The Agency also banned the concomitant use of the runway 15/33 and 4/22 when the helicopters conducting emergency missions operate near DCA.
It is unclear how the incident happened, given the new guidelines.
