AFL filed a lawsuit against 15 Arizona counties last year on behalf of Ezaz.org and Yvonne Cahill, and Registered voter and a naturalized citizen, claiming that the counties did not follow the state law, which requires proof of citizenship to vote in local and state elections and that the state performs monthly checks for the noncititizense.

As a result of the lawsuit, 15 counties have now started working with the Ministry of Internal Security (DHS) to confirm the status of citizenship of all registered voters in the country who failed to provide proof of citizenship.
Although the Supreme Court’s 2013 verdict prohibits the states to impose requests for registration of voters outside the federal request that the registrations must confirm the box that confirms their US citizenship, the residents of Arizona are still obliged to provide proof of citizenship for vote in state and local elections.

The companies have confirmed that the citizens have been moved to a regular list, while those who are considered not to be cited are obliged to cancel the registration.
But AFL claimed in litigation that county recorders did not use the resources available to them to help check citizenship status, which the Law in Arizona requires them. As a result, all 15 counties have now sent DHS demands to help their efforts to clear the electorate of the vagueers.
