Washington and 2024 US selection for the world is your guide to what is it
US Ambassador Steve Witcoof and Iran’s top diplomat have begun the second round of negotiations because the Trump administration pressures the Islamic Republic to agree to an agreement against its nuclear progress.
Saturday’s discussion in Rome between Witcoof and Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Aragachi is important to end a year between Washington and Tehran, which has risked the next Middle East conflict.
According to the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Oman medied among the long -time opponents at the ambassador’s residence in Rome, where two delegates discussed separate rooms.
After the indirect discussion of Oman last weekend – the first between the Trump administration and the Republic – both the United States and Iran described these discussions as positive and constructive. However, this week, US officials gave a mixed signal about what President Donald Trump would agree to Iran.
Wtktoff had suggested at the beginning of the week that the United States may be willing to continue to enrich Tehran to enrich uranium at low levels. But the next day he said that to protect an agreement with Trump, Iran must “stop and eliminate its nuclear enrichment program.”
It would be a red line for Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who emphasized that Tehran had the right Rich uranium Under the International Non-Destroyer Agreement.
Araghchi said that Iran was “completely serious” in Rome’s discussion and would not change its position. He urged the United States to show “continuity” in his messages.
“We are receiving contradictory signals from the United States on Friday,” he told reporters on Iran journalists. “What is said at the discussion table is the standard.”
Iran has expanded its enrichment program since the withdrawal of the first term from the Tehran nuclear deal, signed with the Tehran Obama administration, European power, Russia and China in the 21st.
Under this agreement, Iran agreed to the strict restriction of its nuclear activities, including enriching the level of 1.6767 percent higher than the purity of 1.6767 percent in exchange for the relief of Iran.
However, Iran has enriched uranium up to 60 percent of purity in the last four years and has the ability to produce adequate fisile material required for atomic bombs within a few weeks.
The annual threat of the US intelligence community said in the report last month that “Iran was not producing nuclear weapons and reinstated the nuclear weapons program suspended in the Khamene in the 21st.”
Trump emphasized that he wanted to resolve the crisis diplomatically, if Iran did not agree to an agreement, the United States warned that the United States would take military action along with Israel. The United States has deployed additional forces in the region, including second aircraft carriers and bomber aircraft in recent weeks.
Iran has promised to revenge against any attack.
During its National Army Day on Friday, Iran demonstrated Russian -made S -300 missile system, which was previously believed to have been destroyed last year’s Israeli strike in Iran’s defense radar infrastructure. The state media reported that the system, known as Iran’s Bavar -1731, was an “upgrade” version displayed in the parade, restructured by Iranian engineers.
