Trump suggests lower 80% tariff on China


President Donald Trump On Friday morning he said that “80% of Tariff on China seems correct!” adding the truth socially that the final number would be at US Minister Scottu Bessent Treasury.

80% of tariff on Chinese goods coming to the US would be almost half of the current 145% of tariffs on the Asian land.

Trumps suggested lower tariffs come before the weekend conversation between Bessent -a -Chief Trade negotiator Jamieson Greer and the Chinese Economic Emperor, Lifeng in Switzerland.

Karolina Leavitt’s White House secretary said on Friday at a journalist briefing: “It was the number the president threw out outside, and we would see what was going on this weekend,” adding that Trump would not unilaterally lower the tariff and the cinema would need to make “concessions”.

The administration later adjusted its initial proposal and announced on April 9 that it would immediately impose 145% of tariffs Chinese goods, while reducing reciprocal tariffs on other countries to 90 days to a basic value of 10%. China replied by raising tariffs to US goods to 125%.
