In an emotional and wide common moment, President Donald J. Trump He spoke directly with Edan Alexander, a 21-year-old American-Israeli soldier who was recently released from Hamas captivity, during a phone call recorded on the camera and was released by the White House.
“Mr. President,” Alexander welcomed Trump at the beginning of the call, visibly transferred. “You’re the only reason why I’m here. You saved my life.”
The telephone conversation, which took place while Alexander was recovering at the Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center, followed only a few days after his dramatic release from Gaza, where he was held hostage over 580 days after Hamas on October 7, 2023.

President Trump welcomed Edan with a little humor and humility, saying, “I’m very nervous to talk to you, Edan, because you are a much bigger celebrity than me.”
Trump also expressed American solidarity and dedication to the administration to bring all the hostage home while on the call.
“You’re an American and we love you,” Trump Alexander said. “We’ll take good care of you. And your parents are your amazing. I saw your mother. She pushed me a little – doing a lot of pressure on me.”
“Like a good mom!” Edan’s mother exclaimed in the background.

The official account of the White House was published on the net and quickly became viral, attracting praise from the entire political spectrum for its depiction of humanity and international unity.
Alexander’s release came due to intense American diplomatic pressure and quiet negotiations, partly coordinated by older delegates Steve Witkoff and Adam Boehler.
Trump previously hinted at his determination to ensure the freedom of American citizens who are held abroad and made Alexander’s case a major priority.

The Alexander family issued a statement in which he directly thanks President Trump, along with the negotiating team and Israeli defense forcescalling the outcome “by miracle rooted in strength, diplomacy and prayer.”
The return of Edan Alexander’s house has reached calls to bring home the remaining hostages that are still held in Gaza.

The coalition of 65 former hostages recently signed a letter in which he persuaded the President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to “build on this break” and intensify efforts for a comprehensive agreement to ensure a safe return of every hostage.
Prime Minister Netanyahu He acknowledged the success of this combined effort, stating: “This was achieved thanks to our military pressure and diplomatic pressure applied by President Trump. This is a winning combination.”
The White House did not immediately respond to the Fox News Digital request for comment.
