Texas Tech Red Raiders defensive back CJ Baskerville called a foul on Arkansas Razorbacks Fernando Carmona for allegedly “dirty” play during Friday’s Liberty Bowl.
Baskerville made the announcement in a post on X on Saturday. He accused Carmona of stepping on his ankle after the game and shared two videos as proof.

“There’s no denying that Arkansas played a great game last night, I’m not taking that away from them. But #55 Fernando Carmona apparently stepped on my ankle and put pressure on it on purpose, which is just plain dirty,” Baskerville wrote on X.
“He keeps saying ‘I got your cu****.’ Do better.”
Carmona, who is listed at 322 pounds, did not immediately respond to Baskerville’s post.
The incident in question happened in the fourth quarter Arkansas win 39-26 over Texas Tech.

Baskerville led the Red Raiders with 10 total tackles and had one pass deflection in the game. The senior finished his 2024 season with 52 total tackles and four interceptions on the season.
The defense reached Arkansas quarterback Taylen Green twice. Green was able to avoid most of the pressure and was 11 of 21 with 341 yards passing and two touchdown passes.
The Razorbacks finished the season with a 7-6 record and are ranked a bowl for three games winning streak under head coach Sam Pittman.
