In an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital, Hefner described the SB17 as the “legislation model” with the aim of excluding the purchase of land representing a threat to national security.
“This proposal of the law refers to actions and affiliation, not a race, not a nationality,” Hefner said. “If you act on behalf of the hostile foreign opponent, we will return that country.”

The account is in a direct response to events in the real world.
Hefner quoted the case of 2021 retired Chinese General who acquired over 140,000 hectares near Laughlin Air Force.
“We are [also] They watched an attempt by foreign actors or hostile foreign opponents to buy land near food processing facility, “Hefner said.” And that’s just something we find as much as we can as we dig in it, the more we find that there are many things we don’t know and a lot of vulnerability that is out there. “
The proposal of the law prohibits entities and individuals related to governments that are labeled as threats of national security, based on the US Director for the annual assessment of national intelligence data, from Purchase of real estate If these purchases are the risk of public health or safety.

According to SB17, “real estate” includes agricultural, commercial, industrial and residential land, as well as minerals, minerals and wood. The law includes key exemptions for US citizens, legal permanent residents and property intended for a personal property.
“The strong points of our account are that it can relate to anyone if we can prove that they act as an agent,” Hefner said. “So, even if they are from friendly countries, but are actually on behalf of a foreign opponent, then they will be subject to the account.”
The proposal of the law gives investigative powers of a lawyer and the authority to appoint the recipient for managing or selling real estate acquired by violation of the law.
Hefner pushed himself strongly to critics claiming to be xenophobic account. “It has nothing to do with the skin color or ethnic belonging,” he said. “It is about the protection of the Tekian and the Americans by spying and influence.”

He also emphasized that the SB17 should not be viewed as a partisan move. “It should not be a partisan question. This is about national security. This is about the protection of our citizens,” Hefner said. “That’s Not about Republicans Or a democrat, it’s not liberal or conservative. It just takes care of our people.
“And I believe it is, you know, the government responsibility number one is to ensure that people can live freely and safely in their country.”
