Tesla’s staff at German plant demand better working conditions

The workers of Tesla’s German plant have signed a petition demanding better work conditions, as the IG Metal Union pressed its foot to extend its foot to Elon Mask’s electric vehicle company’s only European factory.

According to the IG Metal, a survey of the union found that more than 3,000 employees have signed a petition on the back of the work, such as the physical problems related to the work, and more than 3,000 employees have signed a further break, better staff and management harassment.

Tesla’s manufacturing facilities are the only car plant in Germany where wages are not determined through union negotiations. Its Works Council, which represents employees on the supervision of an organization, is led by a non-union-approved staff member, an inconsistency of the heavily union of Germany.

Last spring, the IG Mettle failed to secure the majority of the Works Council at the Tesla factory outside the IG Mettle Berlin, and since then the pressure on the representatives has been intensified so that it has been alleged to be united with management.

IG Metal’s regional head Dark Shulz said that the application was a sign that the staff had “stand for their demands for better working conditions” and “misinformation from management”.

The company did not respond to the request to comment on German workers’ application.

The pressure on the work conditions at Tesla’s European Plant comes when the car maker’s sale in Germany is submerged, after the public approval of the far right alternative for the German party.

In February, Tesla In Germany, the sales of 766 percent fell into 1,220 vehicles. It was consistent with the decrease in sales in many European countries like Sweden, France and Italy.

IG Metal Chairman Christian Benar had earlier warned that the union would no longer return from Tesla’s German plant.
“We do not allow union free zones. Not even on Mars, Elon Kasturi,” he said.
