Suspicious incendiary device found on Blue Ridge Parkway near Asheville

Renjers with National Park Service (NPS) responded to part of Blue Ridge parking nearby Asheville, North CarolinaSunday after receiving reports of a suspicious object in dirt.

NPS officials said the device was located near the intersection of the National Art Center around 11:45

Bomb Asheville Police Directorate, Federal Investigation Office (FBI)And the investigative office for the North Carolina State responded to the scene, as well as the crew of fire and ambulance from Asheville and Riceville.

NPS said that the center of folk art was evacuated and part of the parking was temporarily closed as a precautionary measure.
