Suspect in 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray’s murder accused of Costa Rica rape

The victim was not from Texas, but she felt forced to report when Nungaray’s murder made national titles and saw photos of suspects on the news.

“The courage of any victim of the crime to report to such is an extraordinary and that she has played a major role in determining whether the death penalty is appropriate,” OGG told Fox 26.

Ogg, who sought a death sentence for both suspects while on duty, added that “the authorities had no idea about their past behavior,” such as accusations in other countries, “making it difficult to determine whether someone would be a future danger.”

Alexis Nungaray, Jocelyna’s mother, has since become an advocate of victims of crimes that were allegedly committed by illegal immigrants. In the May interview, Alexis Nungaray described a 12-year-old as “a very creative, talented, freely moody 12-year-old girl.”

Nungaray said Jocelyn was “very strange” and “old soul”. She loved dressing in cargo jeans in the 1990s style and talked and loved listening to music from the 1940s and 1950s.

“She was very different and unique. She was an amazing friend,” Nungaray said.

Nungaray also said that she was grateful to President Donald Trump and his support and “maintaining her promises” in the relationship immigration.

“I support immigration, but I say that there is only the right way and the wrong way to do it,” she explained. “It protects people and considers people, our citizens and we ensure that we are safe and our children are safe, women are safe, that we are all safe in our communities.”

“We still have a long way,” she continued. “But I will always advocate for her and be her voice and advocate better laws on the limit control and immigration laws. Since I know a million percent, Jocelyn’s death should have been prevented.”

Pena Ramos illegally crossed into El Paso, Texas, In May 2024, sources with the Ministry of Homeland Security were previously confirmed by Fox News. He was caught by border patrol agents and was released in the US with a notice that he would appear in court.

Rangel Martinez also went illegally to El Paso in March and was caught by a border patrol. He was released into the US unknown.

Jocelyn was in the store and spoke with her 13-year-old boyfriend on the phone after pulling her family from her family’s apartment. The boy told investigators that he could hear Nungaray talking to two people.
